Hier ein Video zu einem Raytracing-Minecraft Mod. Schon krass, wie viel Unterschied ein anderes Beleuchtungssystem machen kann!

Und der nächste Ray Tracing Mod! Dieses Mal ist es eine neue Version von Reshade, wodurch man es in allen Spielen anwenden kann, die mindestens DirectX 9 nutzen. DigitalFoundry hat das mit Crysis getestet und das Ergebnis kann sich durchaus sehen lassen!



Ray Tracing lässt das Bild viel farbiger aussehen. Wenn man das also bei Tomb Raider Anniversary anwendet, könnte das Spiel tatsächlich etwas farbiges Licht bekommen und würde nicht mehr so grau aussehen.

Nvidias RTX-Version von Quake II wird ab 6. Juni kostenlos erhältlich sein: https://amp.tomshardware.com/news/quake-...date,39461.html

Es handelt sich dabei allerdings nur um die ersten drei Levels. Wer aber Quake II besitzt, kann das komplette Spiel mit Ray Tracing spielen.

Und wer weiß, vielleicht nimmt Bethesda das ja als Anlass dafür, eine Listenstreichung von Quake II zu beantragen.
